The motive behind these decisions is clear, as big-name video games hold the potential to bring a lot of fans into the theater. It is the fittest time to be a video game movie fan. So these are the best video game movies. (which are in no particular order)
DETECTIVE PIKACHU (2019)
Detective Pickachu was released in 2019 and It made a total of $436 million dollars worldwide. It has detailed CGI Pokémons with humans which make a beautiful and vibrant. The success of Detective Pickachu isn’t shocking given that Ryan Reynolds is the actor who gave Pikachu a voice in the movie.
RAMPAGE (2018)
If you want an enormous Gorilla, A giant flying Wolf and a Humongous sea creature all in a single movie well look no further RAMPAGE has it all alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Based on the Midway monster arcade game series. It's a must-watch.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (2020)
When the first Sonic the Hedgehog trailer was revealed, The internet
didn't exactly love the appearance of Sonic, Which made Paramount Pictures delaying the movie release and fully redesign the character. But the delay paid off, as everyone loved the newly redesigned character.
SILENT HILL (2006)
If you are a fan of horror movies, Silent Hill is for you, It is not one of the best horror movies. However, when it comes to horror movies based on video games, Silent Hill comes on the top. The movie focuses on a Mother looking to find the cure for her daughter's illness which leads her to an Odd town, Named Silent hill which is the home of Evil.
ASSASSIN'S CREED (2016)
If you're familiar with the franchise, you'll appreciate the story. Just like the games you will see Parkour filled action. Many people hated this movie because the story isn't well executed and you might shake your head, But this movie isn't all bad either.
TOMB RAIDER (2018)
Alicia Vikandar took over the role for 2018's Tomb Raider, When the movie came out it took every franchise fan by surprise every aspect of this movie is just perfect, Which make it easily the one of the best video game movies of all time.
